Step by step skincare routine for acne prone skin

Blemishes, painful pimples and breakouts, they’re all part of the modern lifestyle. Long after you’ve crossed your teenage years, these skin issues can still linger around and affect your confidence levels. Ayurveda believes in the power of ojas to get rid of skincare issues.

Usually, acne is considered a message from your body telling you that there is something off about your system. It could be indigestion, poor eating habits or hormonal imbalance.

At WeHerbal, we have derived natural, chemical-free formulas that enhance complex and calm skin inflammation. With the support of our skincare products and natural remedies, you can easily bid goodbye to stubborn pimples and acne marks.

Here is a step-by-step skincare routine for acne-prone skin:

  1. Cleanse your face

You must have a clean canvas before you apply any kind of cream or serum. Using WeHerbal’s Kumkumadi Face Wash is a good idea because it is mild in nature and doesn’t have any toxic chemicals.

Simply wash your face with cold water and apply a few dots of the face wash over your face and neck. Rinse well after massaging it into a lather. Swipe your face with a clean towel.

  1. Tone with rose water

Good absorption starts with a hydrated base and for that you need gentle splashes of rose water. The freshness will instantly lift up your hydration levels, making your skin look and feel alive.

Spritz it across your face 2-3 times and let it dry out before you start applying serums, creams and other oils.

  1. Apply bakuchiol serum

Bakuchiol serum is the best remedy for acne as per Ayurveda so let’s talk about it. Scientists have found that it is as good as retinol. In fact, it is a plant-based formulation of retinol, making it better for sensitive skin.

Simply apply 5-6 drops across your face and neck and gently massage in an upward direction for best results.

  1. Use a softening moisturiser

Once every few drops of the serum have fully absorbed into your skin, it’s time to let a moisturiser do its job. Anchor it all together with a hydrating face cream such as the Kumkumadi Face Cream or KumKumadi Oil as per your skin type.

Take a scoop of the face cream and mix 3-4 drops of Kumkumadi Tailam and gently apply it to your cheekbones, forehead and other areas of your face.

  1. Seal it with a lip balm

Now end it with some glam as you moisturise your lips for a plump, soft feel.

Use the Kumkumadi lip balm by WeHerbal to provide an extra layer of love to your lips.

  1. Face masking for extra care

For extra care and attention, you need a layer of herbal beauty and a face mask that knows how to do its job right. Use WeHerbal’s Face Mask for your skin detoxification and regular nourishment. Apply it once or twice a week for smooth skin.

Mix it with aloe vera gel, yogurt or pure rose water according to your skin type. For instance, use rose water for oily skin and yoghurt or milk for dry, dull skin. On the other hand, you can use aloe vera gel for combination or tanned skin. Now apply it to your face and neck and make it semi dry by leaving it on for approximately 15-20 minutes before you rinse it.

FAQs

What naturally kills acne?

Ingredients and topical supplements such as green tea, honey, zinc and Bakuchiol serum naturally kill acne, resulting in clear and healthy-looking skin.

What food triggers acne breakouts?

Fried and oily food is usually the root cause of acne breakouts. Similarly, high-sugar foods, too much dairy, and highly processed carbs result in acne and other skin disorders.

Can men use these products too?

Yes, of course! The Ayurvedic formulations are designed for all skin types, making them unisex and suitable for women, men and kids.

Which oil is best for acne?

While it is not recommended to use oil on acne-prone skin, Kumkumadi Face Oil can be used to bring the skin’s pH level into balance and clear acne marks and blemishes.

Can I use a face scrub on acne-prone skin?

Scrubbing is not recommended for oily skin because it clogs the pores to produce excess sebum. However, for general clean up, we advise you to use WeHerbal’s Face Scrub once a week, which feels mild on the skin thanks to its walnut shell powder that acts like a natural detoxifying agent.
